$15K Opportunity for NEA Science Teachers

Are you an NEA member ready to "share what works” in your classroom?  Then we want you to share your great lessons next year and apply for the BetterLesson Master Teacher Project. Watch this Master Teacher Video to learn more.

 

Winning candidates will receive a $15,000 stipend for their work. The application deadline is May 16th, 2014.

 

BetterLesson is looking for teachers who are:

 

  • Experienced Educators: NEA members with at least 3 years of teaching experience, certified in current grade level and subject, teaching a k-12 NGSS-aligned course in ‘14-’15
  • Curriculum Developers: Leverage experience with the Next Gen. and CCSS to share a year’s worth of lessons
  • Inspiring Writers: Reflect critically about their teaching methods; write clear, inspiring lessons for a teacher audience with a strong, first person voice; have experience editing and revising
  • Tech Savvy Pioneers: Excited to engage in this virtual, highly collaborative project, and integrate instructional technology to drive student learning
