ACTION ALERT: Call your Senator this morning to oppose an amendment to ban dues deduction

Sen. Carlin Yoder has filed an amendment to HB 1126 which would prevent any group representing organized labor, including teachers, to deduct dues from a member’s paycheck.

 

This is purely an attack on labor unions as deductions of all types are allowed under Indiana law.

 

This amendment will likely be heard today, so please CALL your Senator immediately.

Tell your Senator to oppose any amendment that would take away automatic deductions for dues payments. Deductions of all kinds are allowed under Indiana law for all kinds of purposes.  Tell them your professional Association dues should be treated no differently.
