Breaking: Bill would resurrect administrator supplemental pay deals
03/09/2016

House Republicans inserted language into HB 1005, (career pathways and includes school voucher expansion language) that would allow administrators to give supplemental pay bonuses, at the expense of others, to advanced placement teachers outside of collective bargaining – a concept both chambers killed in SB 10 and HB 1004.

The House passed the bill by the narrowest of margins, 51 – 43. In a rare move, Speaker Bosma cast a vote.

Call your senators and tell them to keep their promise and abandon this concept and start over by working with educators to solve Indiana’s teacher shortage. Tell them to oppose this latest version of HB 1005.
