The ISTA Board of Directors created the ISTA Friend of Education Award as recognition of a person and/or organization whose leadership, acts, and support have contributed to the improvement of Indiana’s public education.
A duly nominated individual or organization shall have exhibited leadership, acts, and support of education on a state level that establish the nominee as a true friend of education, education employees, or students. A nominee should reflect philosophies and principles compatible with ISTA’s.
Any member of the ISTA or any local affiliate of ISTA may nominate an individual or organization to the ISTA Friend of Education Award Committee by completing a nomination form and submitting it to the ISTA by March 1.
Selection of Recipient
The recipient will be determined by a committee appointed by the ISTA President.
The ISTA Friend of Education Award will be presented at a scheduled association event determined by the ISTA President.
The deadline for submitting nominations for the ISTA Friend of Education Award is March 1.
