Glenda Ritz announces run for governor
06/04/2015

Glenda4Gov.JPGToday Superintendent Ritz announced that she is running for governor in 2016. To date, she will face former Speaker of the House John Gregg and state Sen. Karen Tallian for the Democratic Party’s nomination in May 2016. Gov. Pence announced his intention to run for reelection last month.

ISTA is pleased that there is a wealth of interest by several qualified professionals running for governor. This speaks well for both the future of Indiana and public education.

The ISTA member-led Indiana Political Action Committee for Education (I-PACE) has a process for recommending candidates and will begin that process soon.
