ISTA’s new Professional Resources Center (PRC) is a resource and networking center that promotes and enhances teaching and learning in public schools across Indiana. PRC encourages educator renewal by promoting teaching and learning in all disciplines and at all grade levels.

Working with ISTA staff, local affiliate leaders, and with thousands of other ISTA members, PRC fosters innovation, collaboration, collegiality, and scholarship through a range of programs, services, and resources.

ISTA’s PRC is committed to connecting ISTA members with the most current best practices in professional learning. Research is clear that educator quality is the single most important factor in student success.

GOALS

  • Promote the value of teaching and working in Indiana’s public schools.
  • Foster professional learning for effective teaching and other educational interactions that contribute to students’ engagement in all public school learning environments.
  • Direct ISTA members to resources that support teaching and learning.
  • Assist and support educators with an evaluation process that is fair, accurate and transparent to support, develop and retain excellent educators.
