ISTA President's Statement on Gov. Pence Pre-K Funding Request
06/02/2016

ISTA President Teresa Meredith issued the following statement in response to Gov. Pence’s request for federal pre-K education funding.

“After turning down an $80 million federal grant two years ago, Gov. Pence has yet again demonstrated his tendency to lead from behind, basing his decisions on politics rather than what is right for Hoosiers. Unfortunately, we can't turn back the clock for the kids who missed out last time. Let's hope Gov. Pence has been schooled and will learn from his mistakes and will follow through with this opportunity.
