2016_ISTA_Legislative_Agenda.pngISTA will hold a news conference on Dec. 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. in the North Atrium of the Indiana Statehouse, to announce its legislative priorities for the 2016 session of the Indiana General Assembly.

President Teresa Meredith will address the media and outline the Association’s solutions to address Indiana’s teacher shortage.

ISTA’s legislative agenda will offer positive solutions to ensure a high quality teacher is in every classroom.

"ISTA wants to ensure all kids have a caring, qualified and committed teacher," said Meredith. "We look forward to talking about our positive solutions to address Indiana's teacher shortage. We believe our solutions will attract and retain the best teachers, as well as ensure both teachers and education support professionals get the respect they deserve."

President Meredith will be available after her remarks for onsite interviews.
