Read Across America is the National Education Association's premier literacy program. Indiana State Teachers Association is celebrating this March by celebrating diversity and increasing access and awareness of diverse authors.

ISTA is offering books to educators to utilize in their classrooms and share with their students. Members of ISTA are encouraged to request books from the March Read Across America booklist to add to their classrooms and share with their students. Those ISTA members interested in receiving books, must complete the book request form.

Educators, librarians, parents and students can also explore resources below that include highlighted book titles, access to free and reduced-price books, lesson plans and more.

Tips for Hosting a Book Club

The book club experience is social and a great way to motivate kids to read, get them talking about books, and have them share ideas and perspectives. A Read Across America book club should focus on reading fun and diverse book choices, but everything else is up to you and your book club members.
