Revised House Republican budget dramatically changes school funding
02/26/2015

Education_Funding.jpgA revised version of the House Republican proposed budget was released today. The previous version released last week used 2014 free and reduced lunch data instead of 2015 data as required by HB 1001.

The revised school formula run can be read here.

The Indianapolis Star is reporting on the revised school budget and the negative effect on urban school districts.

Indianapolis Public Schools would lose an additional $14 million during the next two years on top of the roughly $18 million loss previously disclosed. Fort Wayne Community Schools would lose an additional $5 million above the $10 million originally anticipated, school officials said.

ISTA is reading the new proposed budget and will provide more analysis in the coming days. Stay tuned.
