The purpose of the School Bell Award is to recognize exceptional work of news media professionals who support the philosophy of ISTA and public education.

Eligibility of Work
Submission must have been disseminated during the 12-month period preceding March 1st of the particular year.
Nominations may be submitted by individual member, through your local association president or by a district council chairperson. One nomination may be submitted in each of the print and electronic media categories.
Selection of Recipient
The Communications Sub-committee of the Issues and Concerns Committee will judge the entries based on accuracy, fairness, depth of reporting and its contribution to public education and/or school employee advocacy.
The award winner(s) will be recognized at the ISTA Summer Conference.
Entries must be received by March1.
