Special Lobby Day of Action this Thursday

ISTA will host a special Lobby Day of Action this Thursday at the Statehouse. We must continue our efforts to defeat HB 1004.
As you know, we have been working hard to kill the controversial teacher pay bill, HB 1004, in both houses. We were expecting a final vote today in the Senate, but it was not called for a final vote. Today was a Lobby Day of Action that brought more than 100 ISTA advocates to the Statehouse who connected with their senators, but we have more to do.
Join ISTA and public education advocates on Thursday, Feb. 25 for our special Lobby Day of Action.
We will start with a briefing followed by Q&A. Attendees will then meet with their local legislators to tell their stories and discuss current legislation. Lunch will be provided at noon for attendees and/or their legislators.

If you’re unable to attend Thursday, we encourage you to send an email or call your legislator to oppose HB 1004 and put ISTA’s upcoming Lobby Days of Action on your calendar, March 1 and 8.
