State Board of Ed to take monthly meeting on the road to Fort Wayne

The State Board of Education will be meeting in Fort Wayne on Wednesday this week for its monthly business meeting. According to the board’s meeting notice, the body will meet on the northeast campus of Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne.
Moving the meeting’s location has been discussed multiple times at past meetings and has had general support from board members. This is the first time in several years that the board’s meeting will take place outside of Indianapolis.
Ivy Tech’s northeast campus is in the 3rd district represented by board member Cari Whicker.
