IDOE Graduation Rate Data

The Indiana Department of Education released high school graduation rate data today.  Graduation rate data can be found at

Because of differences between Indiana and federal reporting requirements, IDOE is reporting two different graduation rates. The Indiana graduation rate has been calculated pursuant to Indiana law and the federal rate has been calculated pursuant to federal requirements. Because the federal rate exempts fewer students from the cohort, the federal graduation rate is lower than the Indiana rate. Despite previous requirements that Indiana report a federal rate, this is the first time Indiana has reported the federal rate.

Statewide, the Indiana graduation rate in 2012 was 88.38%, up from 86.61% in 2011.  The federal rate was 87%.
