Last month, Superintendent Ritz announced the creation of the commission on the heels of her office reporting an 18 percent drop in first-time teacher licenses over the last five years.

The commission is scheduled to have their first meeting in Indianapolis on Sept. 11. More about the commission can be found on the Department of Education website.
